4-H Exploration Day

Exploration Day will be on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at the Health and Human Services Building in Dodgeville, WI. The morning will consist of 55-minute sessions for Iowa County 4-H members and friends to learn a new skill, explore a project area, or make a project ready to exhibit at the fair. Here are the sessions that are being offered:

  • Fair Entry – Country Cardinals 4-H Club (10-12 people per session)
  • Livestock Judging – Pleasant View 4-H Club (10-12 people per session maximum)
  • Dairy Judging – Country Cardinals 4-H Club (10-12 people per session maximum)
  • YQCA Training – Blue Ribbon 4-H Club (60 people per session maximum)
  • Photography – Red Barn 4-H Club (10-12 people per session)
  • All About Chickens – Kountry Kousins 4-H Club (10-12 people per session)
  • Heart Garland – Dan Brandt, 4-H Educator (10 people per session maximum)
  • Plant Propagation Station – Rewey Lucky Stars 4-H Club (10-12 people per session)
  • STEM Activities – 4-H Ambassadors (10-12 people per session)
  • Painting on Canvas – Dan Brandt, 4-H Educator (12 people per session maximum)
  • Craft with Fairest of the Fair – Lindsay Roum, Fairest of the Fair (10-12 people per session)
  • Power UP with Protein – Cobb Busy Badgers 4-H Club (10-12 people per session)

Please note that sessions will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. If your first choice is already full, you will be placed in your second choice. If both are filled, you will be placed in an available session.

If you are signing up for the YQCA Training for the first session, you need to login online to register and pay $3 per person. Youth also need to complete the pre-survey when signing up. Please go to the following link to register:
