Trips, Scholarships, and Awards

Experiences, Awards, and Scholarships The Iowa County 4-H Leaders Association offers funding to help offset some of the costs associated with attending a state or national 4-H trip or experience. Other opportunities include the Key Award, the highest honor a 4-H member can receive (given to outstanding 4-H members each year in 9th grade or older with three years enrollment in 4-H and one year in the youth leadership project) and the Graduating Scholarship, a scholarship for members who are graduating from the 4-H program.

In order to be considered for funding, the applicant must be a member of Iowa County 4-H, must have completed a record book in the previous year (club 4-H leaders will be contacted to verify record books), and must complete an application. There are two application links below: one for younger members who would like to attend state-based experiences (such as Art Camp and Art Beat), and one for older youth for the larger trips, Key Award, and Graduating Scholarship.

Wisconsin Towns Association Scholarship

The Wisconsin Towns Association, Rural Mutual Insurance Company, and Scott Construction, Inc. will be awarding $7,000 in scholarships to high school seniors graduating in 2025 from either a public or private high school in Wisconsin who plan to enroll in a Wisconsin public or private college or university in 2025.

The winners are determined by independent judging of an essay contest. The essay should address the topic: “What are 3 top priorities your local town government officials should pursue to improve the quality of life in your community?”

The brochure and background information sheet provide additional necessary details. Students do not need to be residents of towns. Essays must be postmarked by May 23, 2025.
